| Q.2 | What is Blanket Licensing? |
| A.2 | Blanket License let you use unlimited
numbers of music during the licensed terms for synchronization purposes. There is no need to report to us each time you use music, but we ask you to report quarterly for our research purposes. With this license, you receive free CDs of updates for a year. |
| Q.3 | What is Production Blanket Licensing? |
| A.3 | Production Blanket Licensing let you use
unlimited numbers of music in a single production. License is effective until your project is completed. |
| Q.4 | What is Needle (Laser) Drop Licensing? |
| A.4 | Needle drop Licensing let you use a single use of music in a specific produciton. The license is issued per piece of music and any further use of the same music or other music requires an additional license from us. License fees vary based on clearance categories. |
| Q.5 | How do I obtain a performance license? |
| A.5 | Broadcasters are required to hold valid performing rights licenses with ASCAP or BMI and with affiliated societies (outside the US). Broadcasters who have not been licensed for performing rights are subject to clearance of performance rights through Groovers Music Library. |
| Q.6 | Which licenses should I choose? |
| A.6 | For clients who wish to use our music only one time,
needledrop license is recommended. Production blanket license is better off for those who wish to use music extensively in single production. We highly recommend broadcasters such as TV and radio stations to go with blanket license. If you are not sure which license to choose, feel free to contact us and we will find you the most cost-effective one. |
